Traditional Scottish/Celtic tunes can sound great on the guitar - either fingerstyle or with a plectrum, in either Standard guitar tuning or in Altered Tunings. I've written two published books using fingerstyle in DADGAD, Open G and D Major tunings. The first is pictured above, published by The Hardie Press in Scotland and Mel Bay in the USA and elsewhere. The second can be found here - a page which includes 40 free-to-download soundfiles - the book can be emailed to you as a pdf.
